PRODUCT INFORMATION

Sound is subjective. But what we can say is our indoor units operate as low as 19 dB (A). Most of our clients find the indoor and outdoor units to be very quiet. Mitsubishi Electric advertises these systems as “whisper quiet”.

Mitsubishi Electric products are designed to fit in small and unique spaces. Our design team will help you choose the best systems possible for your space and personal  preference.

Yes, our team of designers and installers can customize your system for mobile & modular homes. Mitsubishi Electric heat pumps are highly efficient machines that are perfect for smaller homes that need to save space.

Designed specifically for the Canadian market, Mitsubishi Electric’s exclusive Hyper-Heat Inverter technology uses an enhanced compressor system to heat your space effectively, even in harsh Canadian winters where outdoor temperatures reach -30º C and below.

Heating & Cooling Case study

My home is 1,400 square feet, 60 years old, 2×4 construction with mostly original insulation. 9 years ago, I replaced my electric heating with a system from Canadian Aerothermal. The results have been stunning.

1. COMFORT

The Mitsubishi Electric system has eliminated hot & cold spots in my home.

2. HEATING EFFICIENCY

Fortis BC published annual consumption for a 1,200 – 1,500 sf NEW home as follows:

  1. Electric Heating – 13,500 kwhr.
  2. Air Source Heat Pump with Auxiliary electric – 8,235kwhr.
  3. Ground Source Heat Pump with auxiliary electric – 5,088 kwhr.

My 60 year old home – 4,456 kwhr or about $475/year!

3. COOLING EFFICIANCY

I spend approximately $100 per summer for air conditioning, operating continuously from June – September.

4. FLOOR SPACE

No mechanical room is required.

SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING

Most Aerothermal units come with re-usable filters. We recommend cleaning every one-two months. We also recommend having a thorough service done on the system 1 year after it has been installed. At that time, the technician can let you know his/her recommendations for further servicing (annually, bi-annually, etc.).

Check filters – dirty filters can block air flow and impair the effectiveness of the unit.

Check the remote batteries – if the batteries are starting to die, it can interfere with the unit settings.

If you have a multi-zone system (more than one indoor unit connected to one outdoor unit) – make sure that ALL of the indoor units are set to the same mode (either Heat or Cool), even if one or more of the indoor units is turned off. The easiest way to do this is to take one remote, set it to either heat or cool, and turn each unit off and then back on again using that same remote.

If the problem persists, give the office a call to discuss further trouble-shooting.

It is very normal for the outdoor units to produce water during the heating months. This is because the outdoor unit will go through a defrost cycle to melt any ice build up on it.
